Sonam Kapoor
This week on The Front Row, Anupama Chopra catches up with the Bollywood stars who were at Cannes. One such celebrity, of course, is Sonam Kapoor, who has had all eyes on her for her red carpet fashion. While there, Anupama asked Sonam if there’s a downside to being so glamorous that most people now just see her as a fashion icon. Here’s what Sonam had to say!

Sonam says:
There is only a small percentage of people who see me like that. But the larger audience in India sees me as Bittoo from Delhi 6 or Ayaat from Mausam or even me in Raanjahnaa. People like me as girl-next-door or someone who is doing something intense. I think it’s just about being myself. I think that’s important and I think people will love you if you are yourself. In person I am glamorous, and I wear pretty clothes but I think as an actor, I am more fitted towards more real stuff.
