Nikhil Thampi dined at cafes along the Seine river, took selfies with timeless works of art at the Louvre, and gazed at the gorgeous skyline. He also visited the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the Champs de Elysee Avenue, discovered hidden gems like street art, and spread some love at the Bridge of Love. Next stop? Amsterdam! In the meanwhile, we can’t help but wonder… do you think we’re getting a collectiong inspired by Renaissance art, architectural wonders like the Arc De Triomphe, and the Jean Paul Gaultier history anytime soon?

Sonam Kapoor and Neerja Bhanot

Sonam Kapoor has been shooting for two movies right now – Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Salman Khan and Neerja Bhanot‘s biopic. The first look of the biopic has already come out and Sonam looks like the perfect pick for the movie.

In a recent exclusive interview with Bollywood Life, she was asked about the Bhanot story and her personal struggle while doing the role. The actress revealed that when she first heard the story, she was shocked and couldn’t believe it was real. Sonam mentioned that the first thing Neerja did was press a panic button to alert the pilots that an attack was happening, and thus helped prevent an attack like 9/11 from happening. Since she kept the pilots aware, the plane take off from the Karachi tarmac. She also added:

She was brutalised by some of the hijackers on the plane, but she held it together. She was in an abusive marriage for six months so when she was on that plane she told one of her colleagues, ‘I know how to stand up to bullies’ because she was bullied in her marriage. Her mother told me that she never brought up Neerja to be a soldier. I feel very bad for the family but I knew that this unreal sounding real-life story had to be told. It is the most insane story ever and every time I talk about it, I get goosebumps. There is something that comes over me when I am shooting. We have to memorise 16 hours worth of lines, I NEVER forget a line. Nobody on the set forgets anything; it’s like everybody is on auto-pilot.

Her story is so gripping! Now we know why Sonam chose to do a film like this one and we can’t wait to see how this will turn out. What about you guys?

Yesterday was a beautiful day. No, not for us (it kept raining on our parade). I mean’t for the people who got to attend the Burberry garden party. Burberry staged it’s S/S 16′ menswear fashion show in London on a summery and bright day (those lucky son of a guns!). While browsing through their Instagram feed, I came across some of the most dapper-dressed men including Lewis Hamilton and Samuel L Jackson. Among all the stars and celebrities was our fierce style diva, Sonam Kapoor (why was I even surprised in the first place?). Sonam took to her Instagram today and uploaded stunning pictures of her in an outfit that will inspire you for days-on-days!

In white lace separates, a cropped blush trench and deep ruby lips, Sonam looked as breathtaking as the location did! The Chief Creative Director for Burberry, designer Christopher Bailey gave us a sneak peak on the runway by sending out female models as well. When we think of Sonam Kapoor, the first word that comes to mind is “fashionista”. In fact, it might as well be her middle name. I mean, do you see any other title for her? Yes, I’m in Paris and currently obsessed with all things Parisian as any beauty and fashion blogger would be. It is the city of love, romance and inspiration, after all. Day 5 of my trip and I’ve been keenly observing what sets the demure ladies of this city apart from women of the world (blog on that coming up soon). The first thing would definitely be this: they know how to keep it classic with neutrals and our Bollywood celebrities have been feeling the #mood too. It’s no secret that Sonam Kapoor is a firecracker. The actress is flamboyant, upfront and always speaks her mind. She’s also quite unapologetic about her honest but not-so-pleasant statements that she often makes during her interviews. And recently while remembering her childhood days, she shared how she used to be a bully as a kid. LOL. Here’s what she said:

I used to love slides and I use to bully boys. I would push them, beat them… I was quite naughty. I miss those days, they were so carefree.

Well, we always knew that Miss Kapoor is quite catty but we never pegged her to be a bully! But trust this girl to be full of surprises. ;)

Lovers of Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor prepare to cry, the pair is not hitting the screens anytime soon! Yes, sadly Fawad has been replaced by Farhan Akhtar in Rhea Kapoor‘s upcoming movie – Battle For Bittora. The movie is an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan‘s book by the same name and it was a given that the producer would repeat the successful pair from Khoobsurat. But apparently, Fawad was not too comfortable with the intimate scenes in the script and was asking for multiple changes. Both Rhea and Fawad tried to work things out but ultimately, the actor decided to let the film go. Now according to DNA, the role of Zain Altaf Khan will be essayed the King Of Hearts – Farhan Akhtar opposite Sonam Kapoor. Seeing how great they looked together in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, we’re sure this conscious coupling is going to rock!

Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor are currently shooting in Karjat for their upcoming film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Anyone who’s a fan of ’90s Bollywood knows what a big deal this movie is – not only is Sooraj Barjatya directing a film after quite some time (he last directed in 2008 for Vivah), but he’s also returning with the original ‘Prem’. Salman, who’s done iconic films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain with Sooraj, is finally reprising the role of Prem in a Rajshri project. The last movie he did with Mr Barjatya was Hum Saath Saath Hain back in 1999, so as you can see, this project features them coming together after a good 15 years plus.

There’s not much we know about the film yet, which is why we’re always excited for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo news. And we recently got these candid photos from the sets, where it looks like they were shooting a wedding sequence.

The other day, I was just casually sitting at work stalking my favourite fashionistas on Instagram – as we do. While I was scrolling, I came upon yet another picture of Sonam Kapoor looking stunning as ever, wearing couture. Taking to Instagram with a couple of snaps including a pair of very stylish retro sunnies, all our eyes are on Sonam’s bright red lips! Not a bad way to start her travel diaries pictures, right? Now, if you’ve had trouble keeping your red lips in place, then read on for a couple of tips to look pout ready…

Step 1

Use a liner colour one shade darker and start lining from the center of your lips (a.k.a the cupid’s bow) and the centre of your bottom lip.

Step 2

Now start connecting the the liner and make sure your application is thick.

Step 3

Dab on translucent powder and apply the shade of your choice. Apply this two or three times to get a full coverage.

Guys! One the best musicals in the history of Bollywood is completing its 25 years on July 23rd. We’re talking about Mahesh Bhatt‘s Aashiqui starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. The movie left a great mark on the masses and was one the most romantic movies of that time. And now that the movie is completing 25 years, Bhushan Kumar decided to pay a tribute to the movie by recreating his father, Gulshan Kumar‘s favourite song ‘Dheere Dheere.’

The producer has chosen two of the hottest people from Bollywood to make this tribute a memorable one – Sonam Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. As you can see in the pictures above, the recreation seems to be coming along rather beautifully.
